The Gage Avenue redevelopment site was acquired in July 2018 from the City of Bell as a cornerstone to the city’s new downtown vision. The 1929 brick building had been vacant for many years and was a source of blight for the community. Atwater responded to an RFP from the City of Bell and was selected to acquire and renovate the 9,800 SF property.
Atwater proposed redeveloping the vacant buildings as a craft brewery, restaurant food hub and Tesla supercharging station with eight (8) EV superchargers.
In February of 2019, Atwater successfully leased the building to an award-winning craft brewery to complete the initial phase of the project. In May, 2021, the Tesla Supercharging station opened as the first level three supercharger in Southeast Los Angeles.
Atwater is completing the project’s final phase, which includes a food hub with 7 restaurant tenants. This project will feature seven food and beverage tenants with ample indoor and outdoor seating.
Target completion date Spring 2023.
